Taste of the Middle East
Are you ready for another high energy Taste of the Middle East 2019? If you missed the first ever Taste of the Middle East festival on August 4, 2018 at Yonge & Dundas Square, then you must have heard about it!
Yonge & Dundas Square was on fire (literally it was so hot)! All around the square was buzzing with excitement, food, art, dancing, singing, chef demonstrations and lots of fun competitions. Visitors from all backgrounds and from all over the city & surrounding areas came to celebrate Middle Eastern food, art and music with Toronto. You made us very proud!
38,000 people visited the festival from 11 am to 11 pm from Toronto, Newmarket, Mississauga, Richmond Hill, Hamilton, London Ontario, Montreal, Ottawa, Kitchener and more. Mainstream media covered the success of the festival on City TV Live, CTV, 680 news and Breakfast Television. Ethnic media was present and supported the festival from day 1. Over 35 media outlets wrote about Taste of the Middle East. We humbly thank you all.
“THE FIRST EVER TASTE OF THE MIDDLE EAST WAS A TRUE REFLECTION OF TORONTO’S DIVERSITY.” says Hamsa Diab Farhat, Founder & Producer of Taste of the Middle East.
Stay tuned for the TOME2019 festival date. We are working non-stop and with so much passion to make this year’s festival BIGGER and BETTER. Imagine we not only take over Yonge & Dundas (because that was not enough space, thank you to everyone that came down), but we also take the party down Yonge Street? Why not? Our food, art, and culture must be shared with Toronto because it is so unique and so amazing!
Join our wonderful and dedicated team of volunteers and make a difference!
